The jackpot for the famous Irish lottery is now officially growing in bounds. Since the start of 2012, there has been twelve draws but none of them has succeeded in producing a jackpot winner. With the current developments, the jackpot for the Irish lottery now stands at an impressive €5.5 million!
The Saturday drawing failed in matching the numbers selection of the player therefore making the jackpot elusive to the lottery voucher holders. This meant that the Saturdays jackpot of €4,996,111was still to find a winner. Such a huge jackpot was last seen on October last year.
A family from Moneymore was the last winners of an Irish lottery that had amounted to €5, 178,377.The Irish jackpot had rolled for five times for it to reach to that amount. The winning numbers that made the Moneymore family millionaires was 4, 9, 16, 28, 32, and 38.
The year 2012 has yet to see jackpot winners that 2011 produced .The year 2011was a good year as it saw a good number of Irish lottery players hit the jackpot on several occasions. One of the occasions was the millionaire raffle hosted by the Irish lottery.
It saw a Midwest lottery ticket holder go home with an amount just over €2.6 million. The numbers 4, 11, 23, 30, 37, 44 plus the bonus ball of 32 draw the player being crowned the winner. On 21 December 2011, an Irish ticket holder from the North West walked home with the €2 million jackpot.
The number selection of 2,14,22,24,29,41 with a bonus ball of 44 made the players a winner. 17 December 2011, a ticket purchased at the south made the holder a millionaire. The winning number was 3, 10, 24, 26, 32, and 44 with the number six being the bonus ball.
The number four seems to be the magic number to hit the jackpot. Lets wait and see if it will be the number to take the first jackpot of 2012.
