This Friday night will see some of the excitement around the winner of the amazing Powerball $337 million jackpot unveiled. This is the third highest jackpot in the history of Powerball it is a big deal to see who the winner is. Officials have said that they will not be releasing any information about the winner’s identity before the ceremony this Friday.
The winner is going to take home approximately $241 million lump sum after tax. This is most definitely not a small amount of money and all eyes are on the winner to see what changes they will be making in their lives. The winning ticket was purchased at Sunoco gas station in Lapeer.
In Florida news 98 Fantasy five players all managed to match the 5 numbers and will share the winnings to each take home slightly under $2,000. It is not uncommon for the jackpot to be shared by a large number of winners.
Officials believe this is because most people pick birthdays and anniversaries and numbers below 31 are very commonly shared. Fantasy five payouts usually range from $50,000 when there are a few players who have matched the winning numbers and $250,000 if a single ticket takes the jackpot.
Officials have said that the current winning numbers 1,3,5,7,9 are probably the second most picked combination after the number 1,2,3,4,5. However, it is worth noting that the most played number combination has never hit the jackpot.
